Cherokee Stories told through the art of Edwin George
Edwin George came to the Ohio area in the 1980's. Edwin is currently a
resident of Kent, Ohio but he was Born in North Carolina and raised in
a log cabin there.
Edwin is a full blooded Cherokee Native and he is an enrolled member of
the Eastern Band of the Cherokee.
He spends much of his time teaching and painting. His work is of immense
cultural, historical and educational value as he depicts the language and
customs of his tribe, in hope of passing this along to younger generations.
It is Edwin's goal to share his rich Cherokee heritage with others. Edwin`s
artwork is a wonderful dedication to stories and traditions that he hopes
will live on and enrich all cultures.
We will offer prints of Edwin`s work along with information on appearances
and presentations by Edwin George and Dona Greene, a wonderful storyteller!
